An Integrated Digital Simulation Platform for Soft Landing Mechanisms
To make the use ofdigital simulation for structural and mechanical dynamics analyses of soft landing mechanisms more efficient and effective, an integrated simulation platform focusing on simulation data management and process integration has been investigated The platform has been designed as a web based environment and the extensible markup language (XML) is used as a data transport to represent and exchange data over the web. Simulation data is stored and administrated in a relational database management system and data transferring between XML documents and the database is realized by employing the objectrelational mapping mechanism. The simulation process integration has been accomplished by organizing all the procedures that compose each complete simulation process logically and sequentially on both client and server sides, and then presenting the processes to users in an intuitive manner. The resulting platform provides a unified and integrated simulation environment for all participants and achieves data reuse and sharing, traceability of simulation histories, knowledge accumulating and workflow automation.
