The Method Evaluated the Result of Flight Procedure Based on Virtual Terminal
Flight procedure is the line orroute that aircraft follows when flying, and flight procedure design is the course that designs the airlines based on landscape, airspace environments, navigation instruments and performance of aircraft. The most important of procedure design is safety assessment. A method for evaluating flight procedure safety is provided based on analyzing and researching common method and the technology of computer graphic. The system is constructed based on the method in 3D virtual terminal area scene. For improving precision of terrain and artificial models, fulfilling frames per second requirement, the view field is limited in the protected area and view-depended LOD technology is introduced to construct the 3D terminal scene. Crucial obstacles that may threaten the flight safety are recorded in the obstacle-link which would be traversed when flying test and report would be given at the same time. Comparing with evaluation of procedure that actual flight test, it could not only save considerable costs, and there was no risk, but also could be played back repeatedly, observed and modified every detail, demonstrated again and again to find the best procedure.
