The Pilots Compensatory Controllability Effected by the Angular Motion Cue

This paper presents the result of a study thatreached the effect of pitch angular motion cue for the pilot compensatory controllability with moving based flight simulator. In order to understand the influence of angular motion cue for the human pilot in a flying airplane, this study carries out the fundamental experiments in which the pilot compensates to keep level flight for the pitch angular error from turbulence. To analyze the effect of motion cue from many directions, the motion cue was produced by varied of realization level using moving based flight simulator. The model of airplane in simulator is P2V—7s model that was limited longitudinal input and moving. The turbulence model is Drydens turbulence model in which also limited longitudinal. This experimental results show that the control behavior and workload of the pilot are changed a little by the angular motion cue.
