RAIM Algorithm under the Assumption of Simultaneous Two-faulty Satellite

Most algorithms on receiver autonomous integrity monitoring (RAIM) are under the assumption of a single-satellite failure, however with the advent of GPS, the probability of multiple satellite failures, especially the two-satellite failures, can no longer be neglected. This paper is based on the existing RAIM algorithms, discusses the detection and identification methods for satellite failure, and gives Parity method todetect and identify two satellites failure, which is based on the analysis of horizontal protection level (HPL) to present the availability under the Assumption of simultaneous two-faulty satellites. The given algorithm is analyzed by Monte-Carlo simulation and the performance is given through fault detection probability and fault identification probability.
