Feasibility Assessment of mining under pressure of thin coal layer in Micun Coal Mine

Geological hydrology condition, structural environment, aquifuge thickness, and coal bed thickness of No. I1 coal bed in Micun Coal Mine, were analyzed. Possibility of water inrush from motherboard of No. I1 coal motherboard was appraised. Major factors of induce water inrush were analyzed. Furthermore, danger area of water inrush was divided. It was indicated that mining on confined water at thin coal bed can be carried on, after corresponding water prevent layout.
