Empirical Analysis income gap between urban and rural residents in China
Empirical tests find that medical expenditures will affect income gap between urban and rural residents significantly when it accounts for 1%, that is the greater the proportion of medical expenditures is, the greater the income gap between urban and rural residents becomes, which reflects of rural poverty caused by ills. Remuneration proportion has significant effect on the income gap between urban and rural residents, that is the higher proportion remuneration proportion makes up in national income, the greater the gap is.
