Urbanization and Industrialization: The Key of Rural Income Growth in Central China
Analyzing and comparing the factors affecting rural income growth on central region and other parts in China by Factor Analysis,We found that urbanization and industrialization are the most critical among all paths on impoving rural income. The level of urbanization in the central region lags behind many other parts in China, the contribution of urbanization to its rural income growth is far behind the national average level; for these developed provinces,the effect of industrialization on the growth of rural income is obvious, but the central region isnt; in addition, the agricultural industrialization in central provinces is also very weak; Peasants in the central region mainly depend on the migrant workers income, their income growth path is relatively undiversified; So we think that the central region should accelerate the pace of urbanization and industrialization, and advance the process of agricultural industrialization on the right time and place. Adittionally, improving the farmers competitiveness is also very important.
