Statistical Analysis on New Rural Cooperatives Medical Insurance System in Beijing Suburb
Since 2002, the new rural cooperatives medical insurance system has been implementing in Beijing. At present, this system has covered all countrysides in Beijing suburb. After development for several years, we have obtained lots of experiences. We have investigated at 13 districts including Huairou, Daxing, Changping and Pinggu, studying on organization structure, system design and effects of new rural cooperatives medical and holding discussion with rural grass-roots cadres and the masses. Based on this investigation, we also chose another 4 experiment sites where new rural cooperative medical service popularizes conducting questionnaire survey. This investigation indicates that new rural cooperative medical insurance system is helpful for resisting risk of serious illness and eliminating problem of poverty caused by disease. And new rural cooperative medical insurance system has also profound impact on promoting harmonious rural society in Beijing suburb.
