A Study on Sustainable Development Evaluation of Taihang Mountain Area in Hebei Province Based on Information Platform
Mountain area plays an important role in the development of ecology, economy and society in China, so the study on sustainable development evaluation of mountain is very important. The sustainable development evaluation needs enough data and suitable method to compute and evaluate. In this paper, sustainable development evaluation is supported by information platform which contains information system and decision supporting system. Taihang Mountain area of Hebei Province is selected as the case study area. The functions and advantages of information platform in evaluating sustainable development are analyzed in this paper, and the sustainable development ability, sustainable development coordination degree and sustainable development level are analyzed based on the information platform. There are three main results in this paper. The first one is that the ability, coordination degree and level of sustainable development is different in different counties in Taihang Mountain area of Hebei Province, and the sustainable development level has bigger cap among counties. The second one is that the annual variation tendency of sustainable development in different counties is different. But in the whole Taihang Mountain area of Hebei Province, the tendency of sustainable development is good, especially in the year from 2004 to 2007. The third one is that spatial distribution of ability, coordination degree and level of sustainable development is regular.
