An Empirical Analysis on the Correlation between Hog Production and Corn Yield Based on Error Correction Model
This paper explores the correlation between hog production and corn yield in China by firstly applying a co-integration test to the collected data, then establishing an error correction model of the production growth rats of both hog and corn, and finally determining the relationship with this model. The paper also carries out the Granger Causality Test to assess the relation between hog production growth rate and corn yield growth rate, reaching a conclusion that hog production growth rate Granger causes corn yield growth rate, a detection contributing to a better explanation of the error correction model built.
