Carbon Pool and Variation in Autumn in Polar Plantation of Xiping,Henan Province

We evaluated polar plantations stand biomass, soil density and their carbon contents collected in Xiping countys polar plantation between September and November,2009 to estimate its organic carbon storage, then analysis the soil carbon pools variation. The result indicated that the polar plantations carbon storage was 248.82 t·hm-2, the carbon density of polar organs varied between 0.415~0.512g·g-1. The highest carbon density of soil was the layer of 0~20cm, and it was decreasing along with the depth declining, but layer of 80~100cm and 120~140cm was increasing a little. The carbon density and storage of soil showed a bigger variety along with time changed, it was between 9.68~15.34 g·kg-1, and its decrease order was October, September, November, its related to the climate.
