An Empirical Analysis on the Welfare Effects of Intellectual Property
The article uses some models to make an empirical analysis on the welfare effects of intellectual property. The welfare of intellectual property to one country depends on the technological gap with other developed countries, which can be inferred from the comparison of their consumer surplus and producer surplus gains and losses. The government and their lawmakers should lay down appropriate intellectual property protection strategy according to the specific condition of their country.
