Creating Successful Process Improvement Programs: the Roles of Consultant and Industry
Many popular process improvement programs, such as TQM, Six Sigma, and others, fail to achieve the expected results due to reasons that are poorly understood. This study examines the interaction between consultants and industry that contribute to the success and failures of popular process improvement programs. The result is an implementation model that can assist practicing managers in improving the success rate of popular improvement programs.
