Empirical Analysis of Competitiveness of Chinas Agricultural Non-staple Food Product Processing Industry
With the acceleration of Chinas urbanization, industrialization, modernization and sustained rapid economic growth, Chinese peoples living standard is rising. The structure and level of consumption have also changed greatly, manifested mainly in residents demand for food. The proportion of primary agricultural products is in the gradual reduction whereas the proportion of processed food is of the rapid growth; meanwhile processed food increased steadily in the export of agricultural products, which will inevitably lead to a major change in Chinas traditional industrial structure and development focus. After continuous development, Chinas food industry has become an important independent national industrial system, a build-up in agriculture, manufacturing and modern distribution industry as one of the fastest growing and most promising pillar industries, and Chinas economic growth new engine. At the same time, with the development of the economic globalization, the trade of Food Industry is increasingly integrated with the international market, which will bring great opportunity to Chinas food industry as well as huge challenges to Chinas trade in agricultural products. Under the current situation, it is of great significance to analyze the international competitiveness of Chinas food industry and its influential factors in order to further improve the international competitiveness of Chinas food industry and promote the trade of Chinas food industry with the world.
