Validity Study of Evaluation Index in Food Core Periodical Based on Principal Component Analysis
20 kinds of food core periodical were analyzed and ordered by principal component analysis (PCA) based on Chinese journal citation report in 09. The results showed that the main evaluation indexes are: the total cites, current-year index, spreading index of discipline, effective index of discipline, impact factors, cited half-life, the cited rate by others, the weightings of evaluation are 0.208, 0.147, 0.135, 0.134, 0.12, 0.035, 0.028 respectively. Besides of several indexes, there may be other indexes which the weighting is 0.19 affecting journal qualities. So it is necessary to mine new index to evaluate periodical quality accurately.
