An Empirical Study of the Service Industry Status and Development Countermeasures in Shaanxi Province
The service industry on the national level being as a reference, this paper takes the number of employed persons in urban units by sector of the service industry in Shaanxi from 2003 to 2008 as the research object. Shift-share Method is employed to analyze the service industry situation in Shaanxi province. This research aims to explore the situation of industrial structure, regional competition and resource allocation of service industry in Shaanxi province. The analytical results show that the total increment speed of service industry is slow, and industrial structure is irrational, and regional competence is weak, allocation effect is poor. In the end, some countermeasures are put forward to develop service industry coordinately.
