Logistics Project Management Process Analysis Based on Empirical Study: An Australian Alice Spring to Darwin Railway Perspective
Modern project management emerges and develops as the project requires. Undoubtedly, project management plays a significant role for project success, in particularly, for the mega infrastructure projects, the effectiveness of project management directly impact on the performance of project. The Alice Spring to Darwin railway as the greatest Australian transport infrastructure construction in latest 50 years is a prominent representative that successfully uses project management to complete plan of each block in project life cycle and ultimately results in integrative project success. This project analysis report of Alice Spring to Darwin railway concentrates on its project management analysis. It starts with the identification of relevant concepts to put the emphasis on the project management that helps to successfully accomplish each plan. Then, this document analyzes the whole project management of Alice Spring to Darwin railway from elements of project management to performance and control of project management in detail. The document also indicates the implication from the project success of Alice Spring to Darwin railway. In sum, the success of project management in Alice Spring to Darwin railway has directed future trend of mega logistics infrastructure project.
