A Dynamical Model of Program Management on Construction Projects
In the agent management model of modern project construction, a team needs to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The complexity, non-synchronization and dynamic of each project make program management become a necessary and effective way in modern construction project management. It is particularly important to study the program management of construction projects for it shares common features of open system, such as openness, hierarchy, integrity, complexity, self-organization and dynamic evolution etc. This paper will discuss the governance mechanisms, the role and the function of information management systems after analyzing the dynamic features of construction project program management by system dynamics research methods. We will establish a dynamic and non-linear integrated model about the construction project program management to realize the dynamic tracking, analysis, comparison and feedback of the cost, quality and schedule which are the three objectives of construction projects, so as to improve the performance of construction project program management.
