AR (p) Model Order Determination Methods for Space Tracking Ship Swaying Motion
Space tracking ship swaying motion can be expressed by a higher order AR(p)model, for which two order determination methods are presented in this paper, namely, multi-factor synthetic method for order determination and self-adaptable method for order determination based on format recursive structure. The former mainly tests from fitting residual mean square error, three-step mean square prediction error and minimum information criterion to determine AR(p)model orders, while the later is a method with the objective of minimizing residual sum of squares, recursion forward alternatively in horizontal direction(in sequence of time) and in vertical direction(in sequence of model order). Order determination results with both the methods are consistent, which can satisfy precision requirements of ship swaying measurement data processing.
