Research on Urban Water Requirement Prediction Model Based on Multiple Adaptive Regression Splines

Comparing the ways of urban water requirement prediction, this paper analyzes the factors affecting urban water requirement, establishes the multiple adaptive regression splines model for urban water requirement prediction. Through the real example of Yancheng, we compare the GM (1,1) model with MARS model. The result shows that the MARS model is more reliable and practical. The MARS model can provide foundation for water plan.
