An Empirical Analysis of Total Factor Productivity of Foreign Direct Investment
Since the reform and opening up, foreign direct investment (FDI) contracted by China increases rapidly. In this paper, according to the quantitative analysis of economic statistical data of FDI between 1991 and 2007, we calculate the total factor productivity (TFP) and its contribution rate to output growth of FDI and analyze the results of them. We believe that output growth of FDI mainly depends on labor and capital promotion, where technological progress is not obvious.
