Characteristics and Location Determinants of FDI Choice in Mainland China
This paper explores the economic determinants of FDI location choice in Mainland China, with comparing the time and location choice throughout Mainland China from 1997 to 2001 and finds that the infrastructure, industrialized level, R&D input, etc. place positive influence on the amount of FDI, while labor cost, workforces quality, etc. place negative influence on the amount of FDI. The function of the favorite policy is less and less obvious.
