Analysis on Development Status of Chain Retailing in China Based on Methods of Multivariate Statistics

摘要：

Through using methods of principle component analysis, cluster analysis and factor analysis, the management and development status of the chain retailing industry of 30 main cities in China were analyzed by using the data in 2007. The first principle component was mainly used to measure the develop scale of chain retailing industry; the second principle component was used to reflect the management ability of retailing. Furthermore, the cluster analysis of these two principle components were performed, 30 cities were classified into four categories, the development level and hierarchy of chain retailing in different regions were obtained. The purchase and sale factor and logistic factor were extracted by using factor analysis.
