Influencing Factors of Commodity Trading Volume in Online Auction from Taobao Web Site
What factors make commodity trading volume be more or less in online auction? The paper presents an exploratory analysis of the influencing factors of commodity trading volume in online auction at Taobao web site. Starting with an initial data set of 58,000 auctions, we perform regression analysis on a restricted sample which we obtained estimates of shoes trading volume. We have found many factors effect on the final auction commodity trading volume such as a sellers reputation reported by Taobao users, the initial price and so on.
