Analysis of Jiangxi Provinces Economic Status around the Cities Based on the Model of the Projection Pursuit
In this paper, we select 10 major indicators of economy in Jiangxi Province, using the model of projection pursuit to assess the citys economic condition in 2009. Studies have shown that: The economic level of cities is divided into three levels in Jiangxi Province; Nanchangs economic condition is in the lead, because the capital city owns favorable investment environment and fine transportation infrastructure due to the overall planning of urban development; Xinyu, Ganzhou and Jiujiang form the second-levels cities for their favorable energy condition; other cities are behind the first and second-levels cities, due to their poor infrastructure and single agricultural production structure.
