Optimal Design of Position Scale Model in Step Tests
Position scale distribution is a typical life distribution in accelerated life tests. This paper discusses the optimal design of position scale model under the conditions of fixed failure number step tests and presents a mathematical model with fully combining the specific characteristics of position scale model and scientifically using the important conclusion that the coefficient of variation of the life distribution is a constant under each stress level. Also, this paper deduces the failure number of the product of each stress level by using Lagrange multiplier method, and then provides a test design, finally gives an example to show the applicability of this design.
