Application of Data Mining Technology in Face Recognition Based on Support Vector Machine
Facial detection and identification technique is one of the most challenging research areas in the field of pattern recognition and machine vision. Two important parts, including facial detection and identification are studied deeply in this paper. The facial recognition algorithm based on the Support Vector Machine in the public security system is analyzed in detail. Methods on BP neural network, Principle Component Analysis and Support Vector Machine are discussed, and the facial feature extraction based on wavelet decomposition is designed. Experimental results show that feature extraction using wavelet decomposition and classifying with SVM has the superiority over traditional methods on the small sample, and the recognition rate can be enhanced.
