Influence of cultivation on dissolved organic carbon in black soil
Organic carbon ( OC) plays an important role in soil fertility. For Black soil which has high amount of OC, the formation and maintaining of its high fertility depend on the capability of carbon retaining. Based on analysis of soil structure, organic component is the part that is most easily be adjusted and changed. For this reason, much attention has been paid on organic fertilization of soil. During the last two decades researches showed that not the quantity but also the quality of OC is crucial to soil fertility, especially the newly formed active OC which can increase the activity of biomass and physical and chemical properties of soil that the aged OC is not possessed. Compared to the high background amount of OC, conventional amount of organic fertilizer will not obviously change the content of total CO( TOC), or the change in the amount of OC can not be detected by ordinary test, because the change in amount is below or around the range of error of ordinary analvsis.
