Effect of antecedent moisture content on aggregate size distribution and characters of compacted black soil
Soil compaction threatens crop production and environmental quality in modern agricultural production ( Flowers et al., 1998 ). Due to the heavy tillage machineries and the accumulated rolling farmland annually, the soil hardness and bulk density was increased ( Taylor J H et al., 1992). Among many factors affecting the soil compaction, antecedent soil moisture content is the most prominent (Bakker et al., 1995; Weber et al., 2000).
