Low-Carbon Economy and Industrial Technology Innovation

摘要：

This paper investigates the role of industrial technology innovation in the transition to a low-carbon economy. We analyze Chinas industrial technology innovation capability, energy structure, industrialization level and the influence of embodied carbon. The result indicates that Chinas industrial technology innovation strategy for low-carbon economy faces enormous challenges. The government needs to play a dominant force to meet these challenges. We develop three industrial technology innovation frameworks for promoting low-carbon economy development: the cooperation framework, the regional interaction framework and the industrial distribution framework.
