Analysis of the Causal Relationship between Economic Development and Agricultural Non-point Source Pollution in Shandong Province
Along with the rapid development of its economy, Shandong Province now has a more and more serious pollution problem. Economic growth has significantly intensified pollution, so it seems vital to analyze the relationship between them. This paper draws on the overall data of Shandong Province, adopts econometrical methods such as cointegration test and Granger causality test to study the relationship empirically and finds only a genuine single-way causal relation between them. On the basis of our analysis, we also put forward some measures and suggestions to deal with their relation and prevent or treat non-point pollution in agriculture.
