Study on the Choice of Leading Industries in Jiangsu Province

摘要：

Establishing a regional industrial system with leading industry as the core, coordination of different industries, and particularly competitive advantage is the key of regional economic growth. Combining of the basic features of regional economic development and the basic requirements of new industrialization, this article uses Principal Component Analysis to establish the index system of the choice of leading industry, and makes an empirical analysis on Jiangsu province as an example. Result show that the Electronic and Telecommunication Equipment Manufacturing Industry, Chemical Industry, Electric Equipment and Machinery, General Equipment Manufacturing, Special Purpose Equipment Manufacturing, Transport Equipment Manufacturing, and Pharmaceutical Industry are the leading industries Jiangsu province should vigorously support and develop.
