Innovative Concept of Rural Tourism Products Based on Tourist’s Demand
The academic circle has made some discussions on the China rural tourism problems, but there is little analysis and research on the innovation of rural tourism product from the perspective of tourists demand. Based on the extensive field study on Chinese rural scenic spots and informal interviews, this paper analyzes the rural tourists demand characteristics from five aspects (desire for the tour, motive of the demand, mode of the tour, activity content and satisfaction degree of tourists). Furthermore, it puts forward the general idea of Chinese rural tourism product innovation according to tourists demand characteristics and then designs five creative rural tourism products, including cultural recreation tour, study tour, club tour, wedding tour and participatory tour.
