An Exploration on Project Management Based on Knowledge Management
Knowledge is the most strategic resource of an organization. In order to maintain competitive edge, knowledge management (KM) must be integrated into project management (PM). This paper deals with reasons of integrating knowledge management into project management; analyzes the main problems in project knowledge management; examines characteristics and principal influencing affects upon project knowledge management and the relationship between the characteristics and affects. This paper also mentions what state project knowledge management should reach, identifies proper methods in information collecting and transmitting. This paper advances that enterprises could enhance project management based on knowledge management through the following ways: encouraging knowledge exchange; building up proper project organization structure good for knowledge project; setting up information network for knowledge sharing and implicit knowledge exchange channels, etc.
