Research on Strategic Design of Compensation System
The purpose of this paper is to seek an effective strategic design in compensation system to promote sustainable development of enterprises. Methods of event studies, documentation and comparison were employed. The main context is extended with strategic approach, design procedure and key points of compensation strategy. Influencing factors and evaluation elements of general compensation strategy were discussed so that three different compensation systems could be defined and compared. Based on the survey of a number of enterprises cases in China, it can be concluded that design of compensation strategy does not limit to single type of compensation distribution, and different distribution types have different functions and correspond to various evaluation elements. Aiming at motivating employees, strategic design of compensation system would cultivated the enterprises competitive edge.
