On the Innovative Use of Bei-Structure in Chinese from Memetics

摘要：

Based on the theory of memetics, this paper analyzes the generation of bei-structure in Chinese as a linguistic innovation in recent years．It further provides a basic analysis of this successful meme from cognitive linguistics. The study provides the popularity of bei-XX with theoretical support and reveals the law of language development, which can serve to create powerful memes．The paper calls for an open and scientific attitude towards linguistic innovation.
