Industry-University Cooperation in Knitting Socks Using the Innovative Design for the Packing of Socks for Kids as an Example
By paying a personal visit, we got the chance to cooperate with a knitting socks manufacturer in the Middle Taiwan for this study. According to the manufacturers demands, the students from the Department of Design of a university of technology were guided to create innovative product designs for socks for kids. Generally speaking, the industry-university cooperation helped the teachers and students have better understanding of the problems in product manufacturing, put theories into practice, and provide creative ideas for product design to the manufacturer, with both sides benefiting from it.
