Study on Econometrics Model of Vehicle Damage Involved in Road Crashes

Econometrics models of vehicle damage involved in road crashes is in depth analyzed to evaluate quantificationally social value loss caused by vehicle damage in this paper. Based on economics theory, social value loss caused by vehicle involved in crashes as well as various influencing factors are in depth analyzed theoretically, the micro-econometrics model is given; moreover, the practicability of the model, the accuracy and rationality of quantification are briefly analyzed. Based on probability theory and mathematical statistical theory, macro approach to evaluating vehicle damage in crashes is presented, and the corresponding macro-econometrics model is developed. The macro-econometrics model is utilized to assess vehicle damage from statistical data in crashes. It is found that the practical model can meet the demand of quantification analysis of vehicle damage cost, and be applied to the evaluation of economic loss caused by crashes. The results in this paper will be of practical significance for scientific, comprehensive and rational evaluating socio-economic loss caused by road crashes.
