Trait Perspective and Institutional Foundations for Entrepreneurship Thriving
Followed by the entrepreneurs trait perspective and the institutional theory, this study proposes that the entrepreneurship decision is determined both by personal characteristics and by institutional or culture environment in that particular country/region. We suggest that there is positive relationship between individuals attributes (achievement motivation, risk-taking propensity, innovative mind, self-confidence, and proficient in bundling) and their decision to become an entrepreneur. We also suggest these would-be entrepreneurs will be more likely to take venture actions in the countries/regions characterized by individualistic cultures and strong institutional supports.
