New Opportunities for Local Industries in Taiwan -Honey as an Example
The purpose of this study seeks to use design to engage in image planning and design for the traditional industry of honey production in Taiwan, attempting to use the new image of honey as a rarity and its consequent preciousness, in hopes of elevating the status and value of honey in the hearts of consumers. This study utilizes cooperative learning of topic production among commercial design students at a certain technology university in central Taiwan; they are guided to engage in design of products relating to honey via discussion instruction. It is hoped that the results would assist in elevating the image of local industries involved in Taiwanese honey production, and that the development of new products can increase sales and competitiveness on the market.
