Optimal Scheduling of Sequential Multipurpose Batch Plants under Several Unexpected Events
this paper presents new optimal strategies for the scheduling of sequential multipurpose batch plants under several unexpected events. The events include product release dates, rescheduling upon arrival of a new order, and the minimization of total earliness. To find the optimal solutions in complex situations, scheduling problem is formulated to an MILP model. A typical example is used to show that with the proposed strategies, the schedule of sequential multipurpose batch plants is more flexible in the varying market circumstances.
