Perspectives, Skills and Challenges for Developing A Successful E-Government
E-government is rapidly growing throughout the world and many governments are spending huge sums on egovernment initiatives. E-Government presents a new and innovative approach to addressing traditional problems of government services utilising the internet and world-wide-web. This paper presents three perspectives of citizens, businesses and government to advance enabling the transformation to egovernment. The required skills for a successful e-government are introduced. The paper addresses the challenges that need to be taken into account to facilitate the complex relationships between government and its constituencies to enable interaction, transaction and delivery of government services.
