OLII: An Owner-oriented LCC Information Integration Approach paper title
The adoption of Life Cycle Costing has been very slow although it is advocated widely in the world. This paper attempts to highlight the information flow serving as the requirement of LCC by illustrating three LCC analysis methods. Several issues pertinent to LCC information integration based on a brief and representative literature review is presented. An Owner-oriented LCC Information Integration approach (OLII) is suggested as a response and its feasibility is analyzed by an empirical case study. In case study it is revealed that owner is more willing to integrate the LCC information and the agreements such as a call for bidding, contract even partnership with bidder and a Logbook with assets users could work as gateway to facilitate, integrate, and reconcile different format data to an uniform tailored LCC model which acts as an underlying agreement.
