Culture Input in College English Teaching in China
Language and culture are highly interrelated, that is to say, language is not only the carrier of culture but it is also restricted by culture. Therefore, foreign language teaching aiming at cultivate students intercultural communication should take culture differences into consideration. In this paper, the relationship between language and culture will be discussed. Then the importance of intercultural communication is illustrated. Finally, according to the present situation of English teaching in China, several strategies for cultural input in and out of class are suggested.
