On College Teachers Role in Life-long Education
In the 21 century, with the rapid development of technology, knowledge-based economy begins to take shape, so it is extremely significant to improve and update the knowledge structures of college teachers. After introducing the concept of life-long education, the paper conducts an in-depth study of college teachers role in life-long education as learning facilitators, researchers, mental health defenders and builders of students healthy personality, paying much attention to edification of humanistic spirit and cultivation of scientific approach. On the basis of role setting, college teachers are required to have a high degree of sensitivity to new knowledge, profound professionalism, strong thirst for knowledge and capabilities in education and scientific research.
