Psychological Factors on Distance Education for Undergraduates and its Reflection
This paper aims to study the psychological factors on distance education (DE) for undergraduates. Over the past 9 years, a Sino-Australia joint program (approved by Ministry of Education) has been running in Zhejiang University City College, in which is combined face-to-face learning and learning via Internet. A self-designed questionnaire was employed to carry out the investigation among 115 fourth year students selected randomly from joint programs. It consists of 45 items in two parts: demographic background (12) and individual factors affecting students learning (33). Statistical analyses yield findings. This paper is an attempt to investigate personal factors and general factors on Chinese students learning via Internet with the intent of providing information and reflection for those who are teaching in similar mode in China.
