Flexible Teaching and Learning to Lifelong Education for 21st Century Undergraduates
Based on the era characteristics of 21st century undergraduates and higher education background, with combination of traditional teaching conceptions, the conceptions of flexible teaching and learning that is in conformance with the national state and era development are provided. The qualities that the current undergraduates should possess are illustrated from the development concept of product quality. The present roles and missions of teachers and undergraduates in the flexible teaching and learning are respectively described. A sample mode of the integration of flexible teaching and learning is given on the basis of years of accumulated teaching practices and experiences. Consequently, the flexible teaching and learning for 21st century undergraduate education should be life-based lifelong education, and its ultimate aim is to cultivate the international compound talents with the capability of self-education.
