A Model for Information Technology Education for Undergraduates of Engineering

This paper presents a model program for information technology education for undergraduates of engineering in China.The model consists of three key elements such as a well-defined curriculum,teacher preparation programs,and research in information technology education.This paper lays emphasis on teaching strategies.The model is aimed at increasing student interest in studying information technology as a discipline,and becoming computer literate and computer competent.
