Comparison of problem solving with problem posing learning models of student learning outcomes in the concept of the periodic system
This study aimed to determine the ratio and difference in students exhaustiveness through the application of problem solving with problem posing learning models to the concept of the periodic system. The population was all students at the high school (SMA) class XI,Al-Falah Islamic,Ingin Jaya, those consisting of two classes with a total of 60 students.Method of data collection was done by observation and evaluation separately in each class of experiments. Results showed that the capabilities of teacher in teaching and activities of student on the application of problem solving learning model was higher than problem posing. The results of affective measurement of student showed that the problem solving model was higher than problem posing.Statistical data analysis using ttest, concluded that there were differences in learning outcomes of students taught with problem solving learning model with problem posing.Learning outcomes of students those who were taught with problem solving learning model was found to be better than learning models of problem posing.Standard completeness values were found to be higher than 70%.It was recommended that problem solving model need to be trained on the students so students can develop thinking skills to solve problems.
