Shape-based Interpolation of Grey-level Images
The two given gray images are preprocessed, including filtering image processing, on the fault slice image binarization segmentation processing and image of the two distribution centers. Mathematical morphology is used to acquire the contour of the interpolated image. Then, the corresponding points are identified respectively in the two images tbrough calculating the relation between the arbitrary point of contours and the focal point of the angle. If the grey value of both of the corresponding points are close to each other, linear interpolation is used to cakulate the grey value of the interpolated point. But if the two corresponding points have distinct grey value, a method to calculate the interpolated points grey value is presented. Once all points grey value are acquired, the final interpolated image is accomplished. The experimental results show that this new method is effective.
